Nine biomarkers were assessed for predicting 10-year cardiovascular mortality in 3,267 LURIC patients undergoing coronary angiography; 546 fatal cardiovascular events occurred during follow-up. Stepwise Cox regression retained interleukin-6, neutrophils, von Willebrand factor, and 25-hydroxyvitamin D, which improved the C-index to 0.78 (p = 0.0001) and net reclassification by 10.6% (p < 0.0001) beyond conventional risk factors. These findings support a combined biomarker panel for cardiovascular risk stratification in intermediate-to-high-risk patients.
