Seasonal fluctuations in 24 cardiovascular risk markers were examined in 3316 LURIC patients using robust cosinor regressions adjusted for age and sex. Sixteen markers showed significant seasonal dependency; those with Cohen’s d above 0.2 included 25-hydroxyvitamin D (10.28 ng/mL peak-nadir difference), LDL cholesterol (15.36 mg/dL), and HbA1c (0.31%). The results suggest that diagnostic and therapeutic thresholds for these markers should account for the date of assessment.
