The -50G>T polymorphism in the promoter region of the CYP2J2 gene, which encodes a cytochrome P450 epoxygenase involved in arachidonic acid metabolism, was investigated in relation to coronary heart disease in the LURIC cohort. No abstract is available for this Letter, precluding reporting of specific sample sizes or effect estimates. The publication contributes to the characterisation of CYP2J2 promoter variation as a potential cardiovascular risk factor.
