In 2030 LURIC patients scheduled for coronary angiography, ADMA concentrations did not differ between those with and without coronary artery disease, but correlated significantly with neopterin (rs = 0.276), homocysteine (rs = 0.207), and vitamin B6 (rs = -0.190; all p < 0.0001). These findings suggest that immune activation may contribute to increased ADMA production in patients at cardiovascular risk.
