A GWAS in LURIC CAD patients with eGFR 30-75 ml/min/1.73 m2 (n = 499) identified rs139401390 near renalase (p = 7.88 x 10-9), with each A allele conferring 12.0 ml/min/1.73 m2 higher eGFR. In LURIC CAD patients (n = 1992), the G allele carried OR = 2.36 for eGFR <60 ml/min/1.73 m2 (p = 0.008) but no effect in non-CAD patients, implicating this locus in CAD-specific kidney function.
