Serum uromodulin (sUmod) and eGFR were combined to assess all-cause mortality risk in 3,057 LURIC and 529 VIVIT participants categorized into four groups by median marker values. Compared with patients high on both markers, hazard ratios in LURIC were 2.03, 1.43, and 1.32 for both-low, eGFR-only-low, and sUmod-only-low groups, respectively. Adding sUmod to eGFR-based models improved the AUC, indicating that joint assessment enables more precise mortality risk stratification.
